The state of Kerala has seen the second worst flood, after 1924, in the known history. More than 300 people lost their lives, more than 1 million people were moved to relief camps, and total of Rupees 19000 crores revenue loss has been estimated by the Government of Kerala. With a lot of effort from people across the state, under the leadership of government of Kerala, we managed to bring people back to life, and provide them with temporary shelters, food and emergency supplies. The Indian Armed Forces, Paramilitary forces, State rescue agencies, fishermen, and the common people worked day and night to rescue the affected people. This was one of the most incredible co-ordinated rescue effort by the common men.
Now it is time to rebuild. To help the affected people get back to their homes and bring them back to normal life. They need everything to start a new life, from food to clothes, drinking water to cleaning materials. Every small contribution here makes a huge difference, not only in terms of money, but by extending a hand to clean their places to make it livable.
JOBOY and KSIDC (Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation) have come together and initiated the ‘REBUILD KERALA’ campaign to help with the relief activities. JOBOY is bringing all service experts and NGOs under one platform across the state, and offers organised restoration activities. Users and volunteers can download the JOBOY app and schedule services by choosing exact location of impacted people. More than 20 services are currently available on subsidised rates. Electrician, plumber, carpenter, and medical services are few amongst the services being offered by JOBOY. This initiative not only makes the process easier, but also helps to track the relief activities in an organised manner.
Users can select the required services and choose their location to book a service. Our team will coordinate with district agencies and NGOs and they will deliver the service at your doorstep. Users will be able to track service status on the JOBOY app and interact with customer support via chat. JOBOY also supports material donation, where our delivery team or volunteers will collect relief materials from your place and deliver it to nearest authorised collection centers, or to the needy, all for free.

Technology played major role in the whole relief process in the past days, where JOBOY has coordinated collection and delivery of materials in and around Kochi with our delivery network.
